Ipod Hate

I have had my Ipod for over a year now and it has turned out to be the worst thing that I have ever purchased. It always breaks. I have been to Best Buy so many times to have it repair that they now know me by sight. In addition, Best Buy really ticked me off when I took it back last time. The P.O.S manager didn’t even really act like he cared. They have lost my business for a while. We are in the process of buying a house and we will need appliances (everything). I will not shop there again if I can help it.

They Might Be Giants Part II

Well the concert was great. We got there early enough to get a place
right next to the stage. There was no one in front of me. The 2
things that dampened my enjoyment of the concert were the girl from
Kentucky who had traveled all the way up from that god forsaken state
to see this band play and would not shut up in addition the opening
act was horrible. The girl went on and on about how she came up from
Kentucky and how she is following the show. She was one of those
girls who you know is older but still acts like she is 8. But the
real horrible thing was the opening act "Corn Mo." The act consisted
of one guy who looked like meatloaf and played the accordion and hit a
symbol on the floor with a drum stick that he jammed into the laces of
his sneakers. The guy could only play one song and just made up
different words to go along with the melody. About 5 minutes into his
act I had the urge to break a beer bottle and slit my wrists right
there. The best part was when MDB heckled him and he heard it!!

That being said, the main show "They Might Be Giants" was great. They
played "Birdhouse in Your Soul" and during the encore they played my
favorite song "James K Polk." They did not play "Particle Man"
however they did play a lot of new material. I loved the show. It
was the first show that MDB and I have enjoyed together. I have
forced him to see Jimmy Buffett (who is a true artist and a sage of
our times) and he has dragged me kicking and screaming to see Rush and
Marilion. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to see this show!!

They Might be Giants

I am so excited!! Michael and I may be, for the first time, going to
a concert that we can both enjoy. I have always wanted to see this
band in concert and this is my chance! I hope they play my favorite
"James K Polk" and "Bird House Your Soul."

Mad Dog 20/20

I like a fine white wine just about as much as anyone, however I do not wish to have an empty bottle of it left on my door step in the morning.

Now I am not judging the beverages people choose to drink, in my youth I liked Boone’s Farm, however the neighbor"hood" that I currently live in is not the best. The above example is just one of the many things that have made the hunt for a house imperative. I must say if a drunk did this, they must have had some skill to get the bottle to stand up straight. I can’t wait to move!!

The Week in Review

Well my beloved Tigers lost.

MDB polluted my camera with this photo! However, they did end up splitting up the series with the Indians, so it is not a total loss. I really enjoyed the having 2 days off in a row. I really should do that more often.

The one thing that I really loved was having my Grandfather, Mother and Little sister down from Michigan. GP said that he had a wonderful time. I am glad. It means so much to me to make him happy.

The really big news is that MDB and I placed a bid on this beautiful house.

It will be a lot of fun to do up the way we like it! Now the waiting game starts! The bid has been submitted and now we must wait for the verdict.

Nothing More American Than Baseball

I find myself transplanted to Ohio after spending my formative years growing up in Michigan. My family came down to Ohio to visit for the first time. It went better then I expected. I lured them to Cleveland by buying tickets to the Tigers Indians game. It is about to begin...
