Freedom!!!

I have been feeling really liberated lately, and I know the reason why: I QUIT MY HORRIBLE JOB!! I put in my two weeks and today was the last day of that. I was too happy for my co-workers to live with today. I had a large smile on my face and I was skipping down the aisle between the cubes. It was just complete bliss to think about leaving. A new life is ahead of me without being a cog in a machine.

But now comes the hard part: the new job. It will be hard, but I believe in my heart of hearts more worthwhile and satisfying. Nothing ventured nothing gained! So bring it on!

New Beginnings

The start of a new job and a new life deserve to be documented. A lot has changed since I came back to the United States from Poland. I finished my Masters and moved back to my small hometown in southern Michigan. After that I fell in love with a wonderful man and moved to make a better life in Cleveland, OH. I started out waiting tables at Chili’s Grill and Bar, then I moved to waiting tables at a tavern called “The Winking Lizard.” From the Lizard I went to work for a large creditors right law firm in downtown Cleveland. I was placed in the Probate Department of the firm, and found it depressing. So a new avenue for income was needed. This led me to changing to my latest job, which will be a career: Union Organizing! For most of my friends this will not come as a surprise. I have been a life long democrat and my family has a strong labor background.

On Monday I am to report to HQ in Columbus, OH at 09:30 with a bag packed and ready to go on the road for two weeks. This reminds me of how I felt when I signed up to enlist in the Army! So let the adventure begin!
